I absolutely love reading “dear mom” letters on Dear Mom Conference Instagram from mums to other mums raising a child with Down’s Syndrome. This is one of my favourite Instagram accounts to follow as each letter is so beautiful. I am so delighted that our letter was featured on 1 May 2018.

Dear Mom,

I love you! That's all you need to know, and all you need to know you will know! Love is what it all comes back to. And love will be all around you.

Our beautiful daughter Coraline is eight months old now and just as she is blossoming, we are blossoming, and all those around us. When Coraline was five months old I asked members of our family to write, "top ten things Coraline has taught us," and there's one each from members of our family. They flew back to us: Acceptance, Love is all that matters, Awareness, "Yes we can", What it is to surrender to what is and to express what I need, the power of attitude, about perfection, wonder, the path less travelled hides wonderful surprises and interest, depth.

So you can see it's a pretty amazing journey. We received a book in the post today from a friend, for Coraline. It is called, "You are my Heart", by Marianne Richmond. Here are a few lines, "You are my wonder seeing life through your eyes,...And you are my brave when together we face new things that move us from our comfortable place." We are all growing together and we trust life for bringing us exactly where we are meant to be.

Love, Coraline and us
