Reading in hospital

This is the little book we read a passage from in the hospital each day, opening it at random. My Dad had given it to me once for my birthday with an inscription referring me to the page, "On Children". A line from this section, "they are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself". I then gave the book to Kevin for his 40th birthday, the day before Coraline was born, pointing him to that passage and also the one "on Marriage" as Kevin proposed to me in May. In my inscription I said that I could see us in that verse. I remember we read one on "Self-Knowledge"; "The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea; And the treasure of your infinite depths would be revealed to your eyes".
