At the end of January 2017 I wrote to Coraline in her diary which I wrote in for her whilst I was pregnant:

‘Me and my friend Flo went to see a film of “10 women x 10 decades” drawn from the 1000 Londoners project. We were hugely excited to go as our friend Susie was one of them.

Susie won a gold medal swimming at the Paralympic Games in Rio 2016 and has recently come back to work, after focusing on her goal. She is a huge inspiration of what you can do in life if you set a goal. But the main thing – love yourself, be true to yourself

Here’s some of their advice from the panel discussion which Susie was on: “anything is possible”, “dream big”, “if you dip a toe in you may find the water too cold. If you jump, you’ll be O.K.”, “if you want to jump over an obstacle do it running”.

The programme is stuck in the back of this book for you. ’.

(Kevin and his friend Barry proved one of the points by running into the sea in Ireland for an early April morning swim when we were there earlier this month). #dreambig @susierodgersmbe
