I’ve joined a group of mums to answer a Monday question. This week’s is, “let’s talk about attachment”.

I think Coraline is a great mix of loving and independent. She is equally comfortable with Kevin or me, so either one of us can put her to bed or calm her if she’s upset.

She began going to our neighbours’ early on - first for an hour, then a couple of hours, then overnight! All just for fun because they love spending time together. Kevin really encouraged this as he thought it would be great for Coraline and for me. He was right.

I think this stood Coraline in good stead for starting preschool just after turning two. She began with two mornings a week in her first term and then increased to three mornings a week. She was fine when I left her there from the start. To begin with she didn’t have much reaction when I came to pick her up, but as time went on it was the best feeling in the world when she began to look out for me at pick up time and smile when she saw me.

She is a bit shy with new situations and new people but that’s to be expected! Or sometimes overwhelmed in noisy environments. She also has a great relationship with family and friends who she sees on visits and social meet ups.

Photos from the weekend, new chic @bondsaus trousers.
