In the first of my “cooking with Kevin, who knew?” posts.

Who knew that if you’re cooking halloumi, you don’t just pour oil into a cold pan along with the halloumi at the same time. This leads to boiled halloumi.

Apparently you even heat the pan on its own first, then heat the oil in the pan.... and then add the halloumi. This leads to grilled halloumi (Kevin says it’s not technically grilled because it’s in a frying pan, so I’ll stop here) Apparently heating oil first is a general rule too in cooking, who knew? #cookeryclass
