My Monday Blogging group is answering a few questions in the run up to World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March 2021.

Q. How therapists have helped Coraline

I think it’s great that Coraline’s therapists know the specific learning profile for a child with Down’s syndrome so they can maximise Coraline’s potential! We have a speech therapist, occupational therapist and physiotherapist.

Her speech therapist once did some repetitive work on farm animals with toy animals in a box and their names under them over a few weeks (with daily practise at home). Coraline now recognises the pictures of farm animals in books and makes their noises. We are very grateful to them all as we learn a lot from them.
