This week’s blogging question: “Has having Coraline made it difficult to make decisions with your partner?”

It’s actually easy to make clear decisions together with Kevin where Coraline is concerned. We have a shared set of values which means we are aligned in our big picture view for her.

One of us might have more expertise in one area than the other and the other listens to that. We make all our decisions together after talking them through. The decisions come quickly as we are instinctive about what’s right for her. I always say to other people “trust your instincts” when making a decision.

It usually takes me ages to make decisions in other aspects of my life. I think that might change if I take my own advice and go with my instincts everytime; just as I do for decisions regarding Coraline.
